Reach Out International

Reach Out International is a non-profit organization run by Cristian and Lauren Guillen, members of the CLC congregation. With the help of Cristian’s family, they serve their small island community in El Salvador by helping individuals to overcome physical and spiritual poverty with a primary focus on education for long-term development and relief initiatives for immediate basic needs such as food and water. The last census taken showed a population of 1,378 people living on the Island.

The GSV grant enabled them to finalize the Education Center with a swing-set, soccer field, fencing with two gates surrounding the entire property, sidewalk, air conditioning, and paint.

GSV Impact

Every week the Education Center impacts around 60 students directly involved in the after-school program. It also impacted about 26 local workers who earned an income because of this project. The impact of the soccer field is unknown at this time as it is not completed yet; however, there are around 88 people who are on various soccer teams on the island.
