The Luke Commission serves the most isolated and underserved populations of Eswatini, Africa. With a heart to reach Every Last One, The Luke Commission (TLC) has been toppling barriers to healthcare access for the people of Eswatini since 2005.
While visiting Eswatini in 2023, Pastor Stan Tharp, former lead pastor of CLC, and his wife, Joyce visited The Luke Commission. They saw that construction had stopped on the Inpatient Ward Extension for Labor and Delivery, Maternity, and Pediatrics due to lack of funds. Pastor Stan brought this urgent need to the GSV Team and the board, who unanimously approved a grant to not only complete, but also furnish the building.
The construction team has finished structural work and painting on the building and is now installing windows and doors. Because an operating room was added to the design to allow for Caesarean section deliveries, the end date was delayed. The completion of the project is anticipated for late 2024.
